Course Overview

A seminar run by the British Racing School to explain the contents of the Industry Health and Safety Manual

This is a full day course held at different racing centres around the country by the British Racing School on behalf of the British Horseracing Authority. They are based on the Industry Health and Safety Manual, also known as the Red Book.

The aim of the seminar is to explain the contents of the manual, enabling those with overall management responsibility or day to day responsibility of health and safety to apply the contents in a real and practical way.  It is ideal for anyone keen to understand the health and safety requirements in yards and stud farms.

Course requirements

No previous experience is necessary

However, you will certainly benefit from a background working in horseracing as it is specifically designed for the industry.

Course costs


The price of the course covers tuition, all course materials and lunch.
