The Racing Foundation are supporting the British Racing School and Northern Racing College in delivering

Rider Coaching Programme in Newmarket this Autumn/Winter

The concept was trialled successfully last year in Middleham and there is currently a course running in Lambourn. The idea is that someone in a senior position in your yard can train as a Level 1 Rider Coach and then return to work and support the other riders to learn and develop. We believe there are many benefits from this but the main ones being that the employee taking the qualification feels valued and trusted and the young employees in need of assistance with their riding will be supported in their own yard.

The training shouldn’t interrupt your daily routine as the six sessions will run during lunchtimes. As places are initially limited to 8, we will need to interview all candidates in Newmarket to ensure commitment to the programme and we will ask for a refundable bond of £100, there are no other costs for this course.
