It covers many aspects of administration, leadership and management needed in the day to day running of a racing yard. This course does not teach practical horse care.
This course is run over two days and covers aspects of:
Communication
Handling conflict
Employment law
Motivation
Team building
Styles of leadership
The course isn’t just a ‘sit down and listen’ course; delegates are encouraged to get involved in discussion and practical tasks.
(Please note, this course does not cover topics relating to horse care)
The content of this course is aimed at delegates with industry experience.
The costs for this course are fully funded for anyone already working within the industry, although there will be a non-refundable booking fee of £40, payable by the applicant. People working outside racing can apply privately at a cost of £352.
B&B accommodation can also be provided at an additional cost of £40.
