International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we caught up with two former graduates, both working for Jonjo O’Neill Racing in the Cotswolds, to find out how they have found their journey through the world of horseracing, so far.

Jo graduated from BRS in the year 2000 and has had a happy and illustrious career in racing, starting off working for Robin Dickin when she finished her course and then working in various top level jump yards such as Nigel Twiston-Davis’s, before her current role at Jackdaw’s Castle. Her highlight, so far, has been her care of Imperial Commander, winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and she has had many adventures whilst overseeing much of the travelling across the UK for Jonjo. Jo has also embraced her love of writing and has created a successful racing blog, called Over The Stable Door.

Kayanna has just begun her working career, having graduated from BRS at the end of 2023. She was formerly part of the Riding A Dream Academy, and progressed on to the Foundation Course. She’s loving her role so far, and the team ad BRS have had fantastic reports about her progress!
