SENCO
A part-time SENCO is required to work at the BRS with 16-22 yr olds on pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship courses. The BRS is registered charity committed to changing young peoples lives through education and employment in the horseracing industry. An experienced SENCO is now required to create and coordinate learning plans for those with additional educational needs.
This new role will require the successful candidate to work on site in Newmarket, ideally 2 days per week over the full calendar year but other working patterns will be considered.
The role requires everything from reviewing the EHCP’s of our applicants through to creating learning plans for the young people on courses with us and passing relevant information on to employers when they start apprenticeships. You will need to coordinate with academic tutors, riding coaches, the nursing team and welfare teams. The ideal candidate would have some understanding of riding horses but this isn’t essential.
We are actively seeking to increase the diversity of our team and would therefore particularly welcome applications from any minority group.
Safeguarding our young people is a priority, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide the names of two contacts who can be approached to provide a professional reference
Applications close on Friday 5th December and interviews will be held during the week commencing 15th December 2025.
Applications must be submitted by email to Leah.Faulkner@brs.org.uk using the form which can be downloaded here Application Form
