Twelve Club Awards

2020 WINNERS
TWELVE CLUB AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
We were delighted to welcome this years winners to the British Racing School on Wednesday 28th October to collect their prizes for the Twelve Club Award.

These awards, which began in 1993 and are sponsored by the Twelve Club are to recognise the leading trainees from each year, by which we mean those trainees who made huge progess during their residential course and then continue to do so in the workplace.

So the winners for 2020 are Sophie McHale and Chloe Cheverton!

Chloe was chosen as the first winner for  3 reasons, firstly in April this year she was promoted to pupil Assistant at Archie Watson Racing, which is a fantastic achievement for an 18 year old, and secondly she also received a Distinction in her End Point Assessment in the her Level 2 Diploma, and finally because she has already started her Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.

Sophie, who works for Roger Varian, was chosen as the second winner because of her determination to succeed, she has nearly completed her Level 2 Diploma and is already looking forward to starting her Level 3.  Despite a freak accident on the gallops on windy morning at the beginning of the year, she has still been able to look after two group race performers in 2020, firstly this years Jersey Stakes winner Molatham, and secondly Angel Power who is heading to the Breeders Cup.

“We’re very proud to have won this Award.  Thank you to the Twelve Club for their sponsorship and the BRS and our employers, Roger Varian and Archie Watson for their support. We look forward to our future in the racing industry”

Congratulations to both, they have collected their £100 cash prize and a Twelve Club whip.
