It is with great pleasure that we are able to celebrate the successes of not just one, but FOUR of our BRS staff. As an organisation, we are committed to providing the highest standard of training for our students, and are proud to achieve that on a daily basis. A huge contribution to this achievement, however, is the dedication our team have, to continuously work on their own professional development.
This month, we are incredibly proud to recognize four members of our team who have achieved major milestones in their respective teaching and racing qualifications.
Sally Bonnett and Laura Hill, both functional skills teachers here at the BRS, have successfully achieved their Level 5 Teaching Qualifications. This advanced qualification reflects their dedication to delivering high-quality education in the classroom.
Whilst sending news of their success, their tutor noted: “I am so proud of them both – they worked so hard and contributed so well to the group. They are both fantastic teachers and their students are very lucky to have such dedicated and creative teachers who make learning so inspiring.“
CEO Andrew Braithwaite comments: “We are so often the last educational setting our trainees will be in, so supporting them to improve their English and maths is so much more than just helping them get a qualification. For lots of trainees each year it will set them up to be more confident with their reading and writing and of course with their gasp of numbers and by extension their finances.”
Alison (Workplace Instructor) and Aggie (Coach) have both graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in the Horseracing Industry. Achieving the highest possible grade requires a deep understanding of the sport and business of racing, and is no mean feat whilst studying at University as a primary role. Doing this alongside a full time job is hugely impressive, and their studies provide knowledge they bring directly back to our students every day.
When a student chooses to train at the BRS, they are learning from industry professionals who are genuinely experts in their fields, as these recent qualifications prove. We are so proud of all of our team, and a HUGE congratulations must go to these members of staff in particular. Thank you for dedicating so much of your life to helping our young people.
