Graduate story

Ben James
How I became a racehorse trainer
It is a misconceived idea that you need to be born into racing to become a trainer.  And if you need proof, Ben James took it upon himself at 15 years old to make it happen.

From a family that had no racing connections, Ben, now 27, decided he wanted to work in racing whilst he was still at school so started weekend work at a local racing yard until he was old enough to apply for the British Racing School Foundation course.

Listen to Ben tell his own story from graduation to where he is now…
