Khadijah Mellah wins Magnolia Cup
We’re very proud to say that 18 year old Khadijah Mellah, from Ebony Horse Club, Brixton, won the 2019 Magnolia Cup at Glorious Goodwood today, 1st August 2019.
Not only did she make history by being the first to woman to ride in a hijab, she also only sat on a racehorse for the first time 12 weeks ago.
Khadijah has come a long way since she first came to the BRS in April and should be very proud of her achievement, we too, are very proud of all our team here that worked hard to give her the help and support she needed to achieve this “monumental success”.
Congratulations to Khadijah, Oli Bell and Ebony Horse Club, we can’t wait to see the documentary ‘Riding the Dream’ in the Autumn.
