We’re delighted to welcome a new Team Member…

Debbie Beilby joins the ranks
At the British Racing School we are constantly striving to be better tomorrow than we are today, and to do this we need to continually grow and evolve our team of staff. Our latest development is the appointment of Debbie Beilby in a new position of Learning Support Workplace Instructor.

Debbie joins the BRS bringing a wealth of racing industry experience which includes working as stable staff under both codes, riding in point to point but most importantly to her, training. Alongside her husband, at their base in Somerset, they have trained numerous point to point and Hunter Chase winners.   But when questioned, Debbie’s racing experience doesn’t stop there  “I am also involved with pony racing, have acted as paddock steward for ARO, and ride two RoR horses that were superstars in their day, Monkerhostin and Captain Chris.”

If you thought that was enough justification to welcome her to our team, keep reading, there is more, Debbie also has a BSc in Health Studies and is currently in her second year of the Postgraduate Certificate in Education. “I also have an ILM level 3 in Leadership and Coaching and I am a Certified Mentor.”

Finally, we think you’ll agree, Debbie is going to be a huge asset to the BRS in her role which is primarily to facilitate learning and successful outcomes for students. We asked her what she was most looking forward to: “It is fantastic that I am joining a team that has achieved an ‘outstanding’ from Ofsted. I am looking forward to supporting and developing students to progress within the industry, and to help recruit and retain a workforce, with a clear career progression, for a sustainable future within British racing.”

Welcome to Team BRS Debbie!
