Celebrating Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
BRS Celebrates Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee
On the evening of Monday 6th June, artist Jeremy Houghton held a private viewing of his exhibition “All The Queen’s Horses”, at Osborne Studio Gallery, in London.
The event was held to showcase Jeremy’s new beautiful collection of artwork, celebrating the Queen’s love of horses and horse racing, whilst also raising awareness about, and funding for, the work of The British Racing School.
Jeremy’s painting of ‘Dunfermline’, arguably the Queen’s most successful racehorse and winner of The Oaks in 1977, was presented to HRH The Princess Royal as a gift for Her Majesty The Queen, from Epsom Downs Racecourse by Epsom Racecourse and BRS Chair of Trustees, Julia Budd, on Derby Day.
Jeremy kindly painted this gift for Her Majesty, in aid of The British Racing School.
Our guest speakers on the night were BRS Graduates Gavin Ashton and Harry Enright who spoke passionately about their time at the school, and how this opened up career opportunities for them they never before thought was possible.
In the lead up to the official Jubilee celebrations, Staff and Students enjoyed afternoon tea together, with an abundance of cake and bunting made by students themed around the Queen’s love of Racing.
