Well Done Wednesday might need a new name…

This week it’s called
WINNER WEDNESDAY
So you probably picked up on Frankie Dettori landing his 75th Royal Ascot winner on Wednesday. An amazing achievement but if we’re honest we had other reasons to be excited!

Two young apprentice jockeys who started their racing careers by attending the British Racing School both secured their first ever Royal Ascot winners.

We want to say a massive CONGRATULATIONS to Marco Ghiani and Laura Pearson.

Firstly, Marco, who claims 5lb, gave 18-1 shot Real World a fantastic ride to win the Royal Hunt Cup for the Godolphin Team.

Then the final race of the day went to Flexible Learning Programme graduate Laura Pearson aboard Lola Showgirl for David Loughnane.
Being interview by ITV racing after the victory Laura said “I don’t even know what to say, it’s just quite incredible really. I never thought it would ever happen”

With hard work and dedication dreams do come true!
Congratulations Marco and Laura from everyone at The BRS.
